Reverse Osmosis Water Filters in Perth
Looking for a Reverse Osmosis water filter in Perth? AquaCo supplies RO systems for households seeking a dedicated filtered drinking-water supply, including options for fluoride and other dissolved substances. Our team in Osborne Park can help compare compact and conventional five-stage configurations, tap options and installation requirements.
What does Reverse Osmosis do?
RO uses a membrane as part of a treatment system. Prefilters protect the membrane, while selected post-filters can polish taste or provide a remineralisation stage. The exact cartridges and membrane determine the system’s performance: “Reverse Osmosis” does not mean that every model has identical reduction claims.
For fluoride, choose a system supported for that purpose. NSF/ANSI 58 includes optional fluoride-reduction claims; a certification to a standard alone should not be read as proof of every possible claim. See AquaCo’s model-specific certifications and test information and our fluoride filtration guide.
Compare the main choices
| Choice | What to check |
|---|---|
| Compact RO | Cabinet space, the required prefiltration configuration, cartridge family and servicing stages. Compact does not automatically mean tankless or suitable without prefilters. |
| Conventional five-stage RO | Space for housings and storage, membrane and cartridge specifications, and access for future servicing. |
| Dedicated drinking tap | A separate filtered-water outlet and whether a suitable mounting hole already exists. |
| Three-way mixer | A compatible mixer that combines normal hot/cold supply and a separate filtered-water path, with installation requirements confirmed. |

Planning a Perth installation
Send your suburb and photographs of the sink, existing tap, cabinet and available plumbing. Confirm whether the benchtop is stone and whether drilling is needed, as this can affect the installation scope. An RO installation needs the appropriate feed, drain arrangement and any storage required by the selected system. Water pressure and available space should be checked before confirming the choice.
Keep supply-only and installed prices separate when comparing offers. A product’s lowest “from” price may refer to a different tap or supply-only variant. Ask for the total price for your chosen model, tap and property requirements. See our supply and installation guide for broader coverage information.
Can I use RO with a Whole House Filter?
Yes, the two can serve different parts of your home. A Whole House Filter treats water downstream of the main installation point for household use. Under-sink RO provides a separate drinking-water treatment stage. If you want shower filtration, scale control and fluoride-focused drinking-water filtration, ask us to assess the combination rather than expecting one small under-sink system to treat every tap.
Servicing and replacement filters
Order by the exact system model and service history. Compact RO packs and conventional five-stage packs are not interchangeable merely because both are RO. Different service years can require different components, and buying an individual spare cartridge does not necessarily establish that the complete service set was replaced.
Browse RO replacement filters or send AquaCo a photograph of the system and cartridge labels. Replacement timing depends on the model, water conditions, usage and the relevant component schedule.
